Next April the 27th the Consadori Galleryfeatures the exhibition “Words & figures. Tullio Pericoli: 1965-2017”.

Tullio Pericoli (1936), is an artist born the Marches who then settled in Milan: he needs no further presentation.

He has received national and international awards as an artist for his drawings on Linus, the dailies Il Corriere, La Repubblica, the magazines l’Espresso, The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books and many other media.

In the Nineteen Nineties he drew and painted for the theatre and opera preparing scenes and costumes for operas by Donizetti, Rossini and pieces by Jonesco, perfomed at the Zurich Operahaus, the Teatro alla Scala, and the Teatro Studio in Milan.

He then turned to painting which he had pursued since the Nineteen Seventies. His 1987 water colour for Livio Garzanti’s Publishing House is one to remember.

He has exhibited in Italy and abroad from Munich to Dublin. In 2015 his exhibition “Sulla terra” (On the Earth) was a collection of landscape projects between 1999 and 2015, which was on show first at Palazzo Fava in Bologna and then at Palazzo Ducale in Urbino.

His exhibition at the Consandori Gallery SCRITTURE E FIGURE (Words and Figures) Tullio Pericoli: 1965-2017, includes a large number of his works from 1965 to date on writing, alphabets and the images they can generate. It is an interesting bird’s eye view of the artist’s work for nearly 50 years, as he mesmerizes and amazes us wish his unchanged fresh appeal.

The Artist will attend the opening.
